Become a Mentor

A few years ago I wanted to get involved and give back to the community, not just at my daughter’s school or local church.  I did a lot of research and found a great organization that has many opportunities to volunteer.  You can choose to be a mentor, a tutor, or just help when events are held, by joining Communities in Schools.  This program is designed to help troubled teens finish school and go to college.

I became a mentor about 4 years ago.  I have truly enjoyed spending time at these schools learning about these teens and the troubles they face.  Often, we take our families, friends, co-workers for granted, working with this program has made me realize how very fortunate many of us are.
